Privacy policy
Who we are
Good Times Timer is a private, non-commercial project developed by Achim Rothe and Mateusz Szymkowicz. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@goodtimestimer.com.
Information we process
- Account details such as email address, profile name, and user ID.
- Email addresses you enter when inviting someone to a shared action.
- Content you create, including actions, timers, sessions, intervals, tags, notes, sharing settings, and profile or action images.
- Device, push-notification, and Live Activity identifiers required to provide those features.
- Product interactions such as timer starts, finishes, durations, and session history that you save to your account.
- Feedback, content reports, and support messages you choose to send.
- Search terms used for optional Unsplash background-image searches, sent to Unsplash through our server.
- Basic security, delivery, and diagnostic information, such as request time, IP address, Firebase installation ID, push-delivery signals, and error details, processed by our infrastructure providers.
Why we process information
We process information to authenticate users, provide timers and synchronization, enable sharing and notifications, respond to support and safety reports, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
Depending on the context, processing is necessary to provide the service you request, based on your consent or choices, required for legitimate security and reliability interests, or necessary to comply with legal obligations. You can withdraw optional permissions in the app or device settings.
We do not use personal data for third-party advertising and do not track users across other companies’ apps or websites.
Service providers
- Supabase provides authentication, databases, server functions, and file storage.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging provides push notifications and related delivery infrastructure.
- Resend provides transactional email delivery.
- Unsplash supplies optional background-image search and image delivery.
- Firebase Hosting / Google Cloud hosts this website and may process ordinary web-server request data.
- PostHog measures how this website is used, such as which pages are viewed and which download button is clicked, on servers in the EU, without cookies or anything else stored on your device.
Depending on the feature, these providers may process account identifiers, device identifiers, email addresses and message content, search terms, IP addresses, and technical request information to provide and secure their services. Firebase may also process limited, non-advertising delivery and diagnostic metrics for push-notification reliability. We do not use Firebase Analytics or an advertising SDK.
Unsplash images are loaded from Unsplash's image delivery network. Unsplash may receive technical request and image-interaction information such as views, searches, and selections. See the Unsplash Privacy Policy.
Sharing and public links
When you create or join a shared action, the action content and profile information needed for collaboration are visible to other participants. Anyone who receives a public share link may be able to view the action details shown on its invitation page. Do not add sensitive information to content you intend to share.
Safety reports and moderation
If you report content or another user, we process the report, referenced content and account identifiers, your explanation, and our response so we can investigate abuse, enforce our terms, and protect users.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international data transfers. Their own privacy notices provide additional details.
Retention and deletion
We keep account data while the account is active and retain other information only as long as needed for the purposes above, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You can delete your account in Settings, then Delete account. This removes the account and associated personal data from active systems; limited backup copies may remain until routine backup rotation completes.
Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and action information in the app, control notification and photo permissions in device settings, delete individual content, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Good Times Timer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
